Wellspring 100 Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG)

Origen Stories

Every Drop of Water Has an Origin

Right now, somewhere, an Origen AWG unit is pulling drinking water out of the air — beside a golf course in Maui, on a Caribbean island, on a Florida campus, on a Navy island sixty miles out in the Pacific. These are their stories: where they are, why they’re there, and what it takes to make water from weather.

Gentle ripples on a serene blue water surface, reflecting light and creating a calming, fluid texture.

Where the Water Comes From

Every pin is a working installation with a story behind it. Tap one to see what the unit is doing there, how much water it’s expected to produce, and — for the ones marked open to visitors — where to find it and fill a bottle.

U.S. Navy Field Validation: Water Independence at San Nicolas Island

Sixty miles off the California coast, drinking water used to arrive by cargo flight — roughly $3,500 a trip. During Navy field testing, the technology behind the Origen Wellspring made it on-site instead, from the same ocean air that makes the island hard to reach. You can’t visit this one. That’s rather the point.

Origen x University of North Florida: Turning Research Into Water Resiliency

At the University of North Florida, a Wellspring pilot unit is doing its work with a flow meter watching every gallon. It’s the closest thing an AWG gets to a pop quiz — and the numbers are the story.

Origen Stories features a selection of installations our partners have chosen to share. Many more Origen units are at work in businesses, facilities, and communities that aren’t open to the public.

How Every Story Starts

Every Origen Story begins the same way: air goes in, water comes out. A MERV-13 filter scrubs the intake. The MCORR™ condensation module pulls moisture from the air using as little as 0.25 kWh per liter — 40% more efficient than other AWGs. A remineralization cartridge balances the taste. The only variable is the air itself, and that’s what makes every story different.

Your Origen Story Could Be Next

Resorts, campuses, municipalities, militaries — every Origen Story started with somebody asking whether the air could do more. Tell us about your site, and we’ll tell you how much water it’s holding.

Dark, rippling ocean waves reflecting subtle light, creating a serene and moody atmosphere.

Production figures are estimates based on local temperature and humidity; actual output varies with conditions. Origen Stories features a selection of installations our partners have chosen to share.
